Currently i have Mavic XC717 rim with LX hubs and some simple spokes.Looking for a new xc wheelset.Maximum budget 400 euros.

go for Hope hubs, Pro 3s or 2s whatever you can afford, perhaps Stans rims, perhaps olympic or alpine with sapim spokes as a custom build or alternatively you could check crc out for some pre built hope hoops.

If you're in mainland Europe check out ActionSports.de, they often have some stonking deals on their Fun Works hubs.

These would probably get my vote.
