Bike Weights?

My current bike, according to the scales I used, weighs in at 14.1kg or just shy of 31lbs. I actually thought it was lighter than that!
Would there be a noticeable difference if I were to swap it for a bike that weighed about 26lb?
Basically, is the weight loss really worth paying for?

All depends on where you loose the wieght from (wheels/tyres are best) and what type of riding you do.0

Hmm, a difference in weight of 0.76 decibels would be a significant weight loss, but it depends where you lose the weight from.
If you manage to shave that much from the wheels, then it will be very noticeable indeed.0 -

You'll notice it uphill, irrespective of where you save the weight. Wheels will make the biggest difference though, but I'd have thought saving that amount off the wheels would make it a bit 'unbalanced' with light, fragile wheels on a burly build!0
