Bike Weights?

My current bike, according to the scales I used, weighs in at 14.1kg or just shy of 31lbs. I actually thought it was lighter than that!

Would there be a noticeable difference if I were to swap it for a bike that weighed about 26lb?

Basically, is the weight loss really worth paying for?

All depends on where you loose the wieght from (wheels/tyres are best) and what type of riding you do.

Hmm, a difference in weight of 0.76 decibels would be a significant weight loss, but it depends where you lose the weight from.
If you manage to shave that much from the wheels, then it will be very noticeable indeed.

You'll notice it uphill, irrespective of where you save the weight. Wheels will make the biggest difference though, but I'd have thought saving that amount off the wheels would make it a bit 'unbalanced' with light, fragile wheels on a burly build!
