Best way to sell?

Hi guys,

I've got a custom built Felt RXC that I'm looking to sell, but I'm not sure which would be the most profitable way to do it

It's a mixture of new and older parts, but all are in good working order. Basically, I've been considering:
a) Just selling it as is
b) Selling it as parts
c) Upgrading the older parts (crankset, BB & wheelset) and selling it as a bike.

The bike itself has hardly been used, so the parts that were put on new about a year ago are still in like-new condition. Any ideas as to what I should do??

Cheers

Breaking is usually the best way to get most money, but not always the most convenient!
You may end up only selling a few bits and being left with a lot.
  • OK, will look around to see what sort of prices are going for similar parts and compare with bike price - or do you think there's no way the bike price will be higher? Like you said, not so convenient...

In the past I've sold parts on eBay - do you know any better, maybe bike-oriented sites?

i recently sold a bike in parts. made about 750 quid out of it and managed to keep some wheels, cranks brakes shifters and mechs which i used to upgrade a different bike.

i had planned to upgrade the parts on the edison before i had decided to sell the stumpjumper and new wheels, cranks, brakes shifters and mech would have cost over 500 quid

by keepiing those parts and making 750 quid out of selling parts, the bike ended up making me 750 and saving me 550 so i got 1300 quid for a bike i couldnt sell complet for 900 quid!!!
  • In that case, I'll get dismantling! :D Cheers
