Alpine routes

So I'm off to the Alps with some mates in the summer.
Any routes you guys particularly enjoyed?
Looking for a couple of 70 to 100 milers with some serious sweat/pain opportunities.
Obviously could pick a high bit of any alpine stage of the last 100 years but just wondered if anyone wants to make any particular mentions.
Thank you.
There you go, I'm not always trolling.

This guide is a great place to start:

It's based around Bourg D'oisans which is the town at the foot of Alpe D'Huez. Route number 21 was great up to the Col de la croix de fer. The marmotte route is also in there if you are feeling up for the challenge.0 -

that was probably the hardest ride i did while i was there, we did all the big name climbs too, alpe d'huez, telegraphe, galibier, madelaine ventoux, les deux alpes etc0 -
Thank you.
Food for thought.0 -
The Isere valley from the Iseran to Moutiers (the Tarentaise) is loaded with climbs. Over the Madeleine to St.Jean de Maurienne gives you the Glandon/telegraphe/Croix de Fer. Head north from Moutiers to Albertville, turn right and you are in the Beaufortain with the Saisies/Cormet de Roselend/Aravis all nearby.M.Rushton0

Have a look at this website produced by a guy who regularly posts on this forum, it is a great source of information on cycling in the Alps:
