I wouldn't worry about it too much. It took me years before I was deemed safe enough to go out by myself without a nurse, or carer with a tazer gun.

I forgot to write earlier I really just ride because it's so much fun. As long as I'm having fun it doesn't really matter who I ride with or not. So motivation is to really have fun.
But it's fun for me to push myself a bit now and then and hit the technical climbs and descents as fast and smoothly as I can. Fun, Fun , Fun!
    Many happy trails!
  • From what I've heard you are still not deemed safe to go out alone.....;)

See, I'd agree with you, but I have a certificate that says I am allowed now.
  • In which case - it seems congratulations are in order.

By the way, Certificates downloaded off the net are not allowed, you know that right?

No, it's not a net certificate. I used to be allowed out with supervision, but I ended up in the catcher's net a few times.
No more net for me now!
  • I am slightly worried about your state of mind.

But hey, if we were all normal it would be a very boring existence right?

Music helps you keep going, obviously if your on the road, have your wits about you if your music is loud.

Disagree. If you can hear impending disaster, it'll be too late to do anything about it. Good observation is the key, so I try to avoid reading whilst pedalling. On road, at least.

Another thing to avoid whilst riding is spanking the monkey.

honey badgers scare the wits out of me, I watched a vid on youtube of this one shanking this big ass lizard and I had nightmares for days afterwards.

If the good lord had intended us to spank the monkey whilst cycling he wouldn't have given us tandems.
