I like to commutte all year round. Last though I had teribble trouble with sinuses - I almost lost my voice at one point, and constantly feel the need to clear my throat.
As the weather has turned colder - I have noticed the problem start to resurface. I have been to ENT and it all checks out clear - just seems like the colder air sparks off this alrgic reaction. GP & ENT specialist have said its nothing to worry about - good news.

I wonder if however anyone has any tips for dealing with this ? - I have seen sinus rinse products on the web - would these help or hinder me ?

Any help appreciated.

Luckily I don't suffer any more than a usual nose drip in winter except when it gets subzero.

If cold air is the trigger to your rhinitis have you tried warming the air slightly to your nose. For me a thin Buff works wonders pulled over the nose/mouth bandit style in extreme cold.

As above mentioned it's rhinitis that gives a drip not sinusitis so dont buy any sinus rinses. Steroid nasal sprays can sometimes help but I would guess your GP or ENT doctor would have tried this

Cheap? Why? Oh of course, you have to pay for prescriptions directly down there.

Cautionary note: Sudafed nasal spray is very effective (active ingredient Xylometazoline hydrochloride), BUT try not to use it for more than a few days; wean yourself off it once you've got over the worst of your nasal congestion, otherwise you'll become addicted.

    Yeah, what he said
I was using this shit for years not realising I was making things worse. I had to have corrective surgery on my sinuses to try and correct them. I was also told that things might not be fixed first time round. And if not, you have to wait 3 years before you can have the operation again. My sinuses would get that badly bungee up I would end up with gut busting migraines. Thankfully I am now a lot better, but my right sometimes gets bunged up. I have a year left before I can have the procedure done again. Although my situation seems to be reversed to you. I find if it's hot and stuffy my nose bungs up. I find rubbing a little bit of vicks vapour rub around the wall of my nose helps me greatly
