Hello, any bike stores or other things worth checking out?

Comments

  • There is wolfies on Sheik Zayed, Cannondale and Specialized also have shops not far from Wolfies.
Then there are the Rage (I think) bike shops in Malls (Festival City).

Other things to check out - Autodrome on Wednesday night 6-9pm opened for cyclists, runners etc....good clean fun and safe.

and cycling on Yas F1 - but nothing now until after the GP :(

but generally the bike shops in the UAE are rubbish and expensive compared to the UK - dare I say it?.......... Wiggle are a better bet!

there, i feel like I have come out !!!
  • To add to Marky Boy - nothing worth checking out except the Autodrome rides on a Wednesday evening, the Dubai Roadsters ride on a Friday morning & the Cycle Safe ride on a Saturday morning.

Shops here are not much cop (but improving slowly) - so much so that I am a Wiggle Platinum customer without having bought a bike or wheels from them!

There is a shop offering bike hire now, check http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=171332109546130&id=178868003667 and http://www.probike.ae/ for (very) limited details.

If your intention was to make a killing on some bling cycling gear, then this is not the right part of the world! Bling - oh yes, but not bling cycling stuff!

  • Yes, I'd like to rent out for a day. Where would I ride tho? Also, considering the temperature, is it even worth it? I'm sure riding in 35+c will be unpleasant.
