Hi, i'm looking to take advantage of - while its available - the CycleScheme grant initiative. I've convinced myself a h/t 29er would make a good choice of secondary bike. Looking around the £1,000 price ceilinmg the gary Fisher x-caliber looks the business but is hard to track down a dealer and one in the cyclescheme deal - Evans aren't.
I'm based in north east england and wondered if anybody had thoughts on h/t 29ers around the £1k mark and experience of using the Cyclescheme initiative too?
Many thanks,
Harland.

Unless you are buying from a small local retailer willing to bend the rules, you are limited to £1K max, so your 'around £1000' becomes 'under £1000'. Gary Fishers should all be available through Trek dealers (now Trek own their A55 so to speak) so may be worth trying that route?
