honestly, some people, posting yet another thread on tyres!!!!!

Wanted: tough, not too impossible to fit not too expensive 700x28 commuting tyres for the Sirrus, as current Conti SportContacts are wearing thin and have just let in the p-fairy for a visit.

Schwalbe Tractor plus need not apply

nothing stupidly expensive, they will be used on the mean streets and paved canals of London, and I'm not intending to set any speed records

Oh - and are folding tyres easier to fit? I hate putting on tyres, 'cos I'm weak

It's just a hill. Get over it.

I keep banging their drum, but Halo Twin Rail Couriers Berlin Edition. Best tyres I've ever had and just about unperforateable.

CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
    Litespeed L3 for Strava bits

Conti GP 4 Seasons? Or even the GP4000S. Not had a non-end-of-life puncture on either of these yet.

Really? I put up with mine for a month in London before deciding they were for events only and swapping them for DuranoS. They cut up worse than an Emo kid's wirsts.

Actually quite tempting, especially if Wiggle throw in free tubes like they did when I bought the current set

Or I could get some more Gatorskins, like on the aged 531

  • Don't forget your 1 year puncture warranty on the Contis -

Sent back my sport contacts after they were punctured.

Two weeks later received a brand new set with inner tubes, totally gratis 8)

OP - yeah, although i have no experience with Halo Twin Rail Courier Berlin they seem to have similar protection to [at which I lol'd] Schwalbe Tractor Plus yet don't weight as much - and cost about £23.

Then you'll just have to keep putting up with the odd flat. I see so many bikes in the racks these days with flats and I always think that they should have fitted SMPs.
This post contains traces of nuts.
  • Forget SMP, Marathon Supreme FTW. Even more puncture resistant, lighter, and mine barely seem to wear.
