Slightly OT - Jeans

Here's my dilemma.. after a long summer of biking, all my 32" jeans have gotten a bit on the baggy side. I went looking for some 30's, but almost everything I could find at 30" is cut with skinny legs (for skinny 20something hipster kids, I guess). Skinny jeans isn't such a great look on a 34yo male to begin with, but add cyclist thighs to the equation and it's wrong.

So I wondered if any of you had recommendations (and no, I'm not spending £150 on Rapha jeans...) as to good shops/chains for sensibly cut jeans in skinny sizes?

Cheers!

I'm a 30" also, and Gap haven't let me down yet. Thought I'd branch out the other day, but it was just farcical - couldn't get them over my thighs at a 32" waist and only just at a room-for-one-more 34" - so reverted back to what works. Straight leg or boot cut seem to look fairly normal.

  • Try Carhart, they are roughly £60 a pair and are great for what you need. They have a shop off Neil Street in town, but they do have a retail outlet somewhere Camden way I think which sells older styles much cheaper but still quality items.

If not their is a house of fraser in Westfield which has a sale on at the moment and loads of brands and cuts, try Firetrap, my jeans were £65 in the sale (RRP £130) size 30 waist, not too skinny but not in anyway baggy.

    Hope this helps.

Uniqlo Loose fit for me. I need 'em in a 34, as I'm still trying to get rid of the belly, but the thighs aren't a problem. Less than £30.

I've had jeans taken in at the waist. It doesn't cost much.

Try TK Max, seriously. last years range but decent enough clobber and often made in odd shapes. I've tried 30-32" stuff that hung from me like voluminous pantaloons.
