With UCI releasing rankings of next year's new team line ups, thought it'd be worth looking at how they compare with rankings at end of this year.
1 Luxembourg Pro Cycling Project (NE)
2 Rabobank Cycling Team (+2)
3 Garmin-Cervélo (+4)
4 HTC-Highroad (+2)
5 Omega Pharma-Lotto (+3)
6 Lampre-ISD (+8)
7 Katusha (-2)
8 Sky ProCycling (+7)
9 Liquigas-Cannondale (-7)
10 Saxo Bank SunGard (-9)
11 Team RadioShack (=)
12 Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team (+12)
13 Pro Team Astana (-10)
14 Movistar Team (-5)
15 BMC Racing Team (-5)
16 Euskaltel-Euskadi (-3)
17 Geox-TMC (+12)
18 Quick Step Cycling Team (-2)
19 Cofidis Le Crédit en ligne (+1)
20 AG2R (-2)

22 Saur-Sojasun (+5)
23 Pegasus Sports (NE)
24 Skil-Shimano (+7)
25 Acqua e Sapone (-2)
26 Colnago-CSF Inox (-1)
27 Europcar (-8)
28 Androni Giocattoli (-11)
29 Topsport Vlaanderen-Mercator (-1)
30 Verandas Willems-Ascent (NE)
31 Team Type 1 (NE)
32 CCC Polsat Polkowice (NE)
33 Bretagne-Schuller (NE)
34 Farnese Vini - Neri Sottoli (NE)
35 Landbouwkrediet (-5)
36 UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling (NE)
37 Team Netapp (NE)
38 Team SpiderTech powered by C10 (NE)
39 Caja Rural (NE)
40 Colombia Es Pasion-Café de Colombia (NE)
41 De Rosa-Ceramica Flamina (NE)
42 Andalucia Caja Granada (-10)
NE = new entry
For the sakes of comparison:
Movistar Team = Caisse d'Epargne
Geox-TMC = Footon-Servetto
Europcar = BBox Bouygues Telecom
Only 32 teams received world ranking points last season, with 42 teams listed yesterday hence the high number of new entries lower down. So, is the table and changes a reflection of how you've seen the transfers play out?

Pleased to see that Sky had an ok year.
Actually, for their first year, I think they bedded in just fine. Shame they were hyped to the max, but then they are owned by a media mogul.0 -
So SKy ranked 15th at the end of this year - but the riders they have for next season would put them 8th based on the results from 2009 and 2010 ?
Suggests either they have just signed some decent points scorers or most of their riders have underperformed in 2010 relative to 2009. Or am I reading this wrong ?

UCI rankings based on 5 best scoring riders and Sky only really had EBH (228 pts), Henderson (103) and Flecha (71) with any decent points.
Uran (40) and Rogers (113) will have given them a boost replacing the 4th and 5th counting riders Wiggins (18) and Thomas (15), an increase of 120 points.0
