And she - true fact - had a crush on Elton John of all people.

    You were not alone!
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

It's not the will to win that matters...everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters.

Anyone remember the "Not the Nine O'Clock News" Kate Bush song?

" I was into yin and yang and hatha yoga
Ginseng and caraway seeds and being a non-smoker
My cauliflower quiches were better than the bought ones
And I was thicker than two short ones
    People bought my latest hits
Cos they liked my latex tits
    Everyone trying hard
    To get inside my leotard

Went to my hairdresser to have a hair-do (hair do-be-do-be-do)
He asked if I knew A La Recherche De Temps Perdus
That's how I was introduced to Colette, Cocteau and Marcel Proust
Now wholefood cookery is just a sideline

    (Shrill 'La-La-la' middle eight.)

I went to Cairo and I read the Gnostic
Apocryphon of John in the original Coptic
    Korsakoff's psychosis theories
    And the Fibonacci series
Studied acupuncture and the Bible - the Byabubble -
Opened the windows in my mind

    'It's not your mind, it's your body they're into-oo-oo'
    My business-manager said.
He said that I need an intellect like I need a
Hole hole in the in the hole in the head

Though I'm an honorary member of Mensa now
I have to try and keep up a pretence somehow
'Cos you buy my latest hits
Because you like my latex tits
And you're all trying hard to get inside my
    Leotard leotard leotard

    Oh England, my leotard
    Ooh ooh ooh ooh "
'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'

Back in the day I couldn't resolve having the hots for Kate Bush, or even liking her work. Didn't stop me buying her greatest hits CD and Ariel.

Saw one of her videos on TV the other day (Babooshka) and had never realised what a good body she had, I was too young at the time and she was a bit weird!

+1 if you're talking about the blonde...
-8 if Agnetha is the brunette.

Kim Wilde and Debbie Harry did it for me in the 80's... not literally unfortunately.

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

nah, not a bit of it!

Is Gaga talented? She's certainly talented when it comes to manipulating her image to ensure she's making the papers. She hasn't knocked out any "great" records...I just get the impression it's all abit forced. She claims it's "art", I claim it's "shite". There's nowt new in what she's doing.

IMO Gaga is someone who has studied Madonna and Grace Jones and utilised video with a strong sense of image - particularly fetish. Bush was/is original. Odd song subjects (Army Dreamers,Cloudbusting,Babushka, Wuthering Heights) all different yet all her. No fancy trickery just a dedication to her art. Saw her first and only tour and she was stunning, 19 years old and her show was a groundbreaker. Dance, headset mics and she apologised for miming during one number as she couldn't dance and sing - Britney/Madonna etc take note

Living quietly in Southern England somewhere. She had a baby a few years ago. She has her own recording studio and her deal with EMI was she produced the album when she was ready (Pink Floyd had this). She isn't interested in touring/promotion etc. A refreshing change in this age of talentless 5 min wonders

+1, Gaga has had plenty of inspiration. KB was an original, quite unique. The only singer/performer/song writer/producer I can think of, that comes anywhere, near would be Bjork. Another fruitcake, has to be said

She became a normal person leading an ordinary life, though with a slight blip in 2005.
