Whilst looking for a new set of forks i saw these http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/FK279A16-Marzocchi+55+Tst2+Air+Fork+10.aspx?sc=FRGLUK&cc=GBP
Is it too good to be true, or does anybody have any experience with this site and would recomend them?

Thanks

I checked and all together it would come to £179, just seems TOO cheap?

You'd be stung by customs for VAT and import tax once they arrive in the UK.

Ok, you have any idea how much all this could come to?
  • last time i checked it was around 5% import duty on bike parts, then 17.5% VAT on top plus around £10 'handling' charge from the currier. Which would mean around ~£230.

All for a Marzocchi 55, which WILL fail on you inexplicably, and repeatedly.
  • I've used Jenson USA shop on line twice and had no issues at all (delivering to Australia). So, yes, I'd recommend them.

    Dunno about the forks though..

i went to the LBS and asked about the 55s because i want some more travel and a smoother fork and he recomended them but as other people have said RockShox Pikes or Totems are better options, the only thing he said about 55s was about the 08 line which people had riding issues with.

I had 08 ones, the internals were replaced with 09 ones.
I still had issues. Since then I've been unable to get any reply at all, even an acknowledgement from Windwave.

oh ok then, just thought about the 10 one as i would have a warranty to fall onto if it was needed.

Well, mine's still in warranty. Can't get a bloody answer from them though.
  • you wouldn't have warranty for an international grey import.

    Ahh cheers.
Glad i didn't get them then
    They're grey?
  • They are if you've done a dodgy import on them. The uk distributor wouldn't touch you with a barge pole and so you're stuck with returning them to the us...

Personally I'd buy some reputable forks from a decent uk place.

ok thanks, thinking about getting a new frame anyway so might have to go 180-200mm. :D
  • I've had a few things from Jenson before, small things that don't attract a lot of attention. :D

They've always been good. Not sure how keen I'd be to buy a big item from them though, as stated above, warranty cold be an issue, and customs fees would just make it not worthwhile.

    Alright cheers guys.
sorry to change the subject but can anyone recomend or think of any decent forks 16-180mm travel that aren't gonna set me back ££££ i've been looking on ebay and i've found Drop off triple clamps, if it matter they're for a club roost DH8 frame, seen it on ebay and it looks promising as a budget DH bike.
