I have a load of scotch bonnet chillies left over from tea last night (of which i'm paying the price... My cornhole is burning) and want to make something with them....

What can i make?

Was thinking about homemade chilly sauce or oil but that sounds a bit boring!

I made this the other day and it was absolutely gorgeous. It barely had any heat ot it but I'm sure it would be just as good with a few chillis thrown in!

    agreed.

after a cold winter ride, take the chili out the freezer, cook the chili and rice or whatever while your having a shower. then when you get out, plate it up and you have a warming and delicious quick meal :D

Its a well known fact that it tastes better once its been frozen and reheated. Same with curry.

I put chillies in almost all my food, but most curry's and stews taste better once left for the flavours to infuse.

    +1
Been growing chillis for a couple of years it's dead easy. I eat 'em raw as well as putting them on sarnies and in curries, pies etc.

The hotter the better I love chillis.

They don't seem that hot to me. Like a cross between English mustard and extra strong mints, not too bad at all :?
  • If there real scotch bonnets

there really evil, most garden chillies are rated below 4-5 but good scotch bonnets are like a 9 and can burn your fingers on contact, And i love hot and spicy food.

In fact if there good ones, i would be tempted to make a jaimacan jerk paste, for putting on chicke and so on, really F.ing stuff.

make chilly/curry and freeze it (make loads) and then take a bit out after every ride and enjoy a warming snack (that will taste awesome after being frozen for ages!!!!)
    I like bikes and stuff

I'd make a sauce or seasoning paste or something similar out of it and then use it to flavour what ever you make for the rest of the week :P

My dinner tonight (invented & made by me):

    Spicy Chicken & spinach pie.

    5 x birdseye chillies
    5 x spring onions
    0.5 x leak
    500g chicken
    4 cloves of garlic
    1 x know stock pot
    0.5 x bag fresh spinach
    1x pepper

Slice it up and throw it in a pot to cook for about 45 min.

line a pot with ready made pastry and put it all in , cover the top with pastry and put in the oven for about 30 min, gas 6 (until pastry is cooked)

    It is delicious.

And my wife claims I'm not domesticated!!!

Go for a crackin' American dish; Buffalo Chicken
    8534.jpg

The aim is to coat the chicken in as hot-a-sauce as your exit strategy will allow, then cool it down with blue cheese.
Just replace the hot sauce in the recipe with minced bonnets.
This was my fave thing in the states but shockingly - nowhere could make it proper hot! Only... roadie shaved legs medium-hot...
    'prep time = 15min, cook time = 15min, ready in = 2hrs
What the hell happens an hour n half after you've eaten it exactly?
