I thought it was disapointing really, had some good ideas in it but they cramed so much into one episode that everything was a bit too brief. End of the day you just have to think its ment to be more of an entertainment show than informative, just like hammond with "Brainiac"

I agree. His toy based programs were much better as he had time to do them properly. And whilst they talked about wiring a plug it was never actually demonstrated.

OTOH There's so little worth watching on telly (until the Ashes start anyway) that I'll probably watch it again next week...

As for the plug issue - they spoke about how many people can't wire one (i don't know why because its not exactly hard!) then tried to tell everyone that it was brown - live, blue - negative, green/yellow - earth (correct) before then getting themselves confused and then saying it was the other way round! Then fliped between the two and decided it didn't really matter in the end.

I thought is was great... A bit stupid, and all the stuff he did was a bit basic. But that's kind of the point of James May's programs... they are a bit stupid, a bit fun. Most of his show's are about toys from when he was a kid, or something. I'm looking forward to next week.
    I like bikes and stuff

That was the point at which I picked up the remote and found something else to watch. BLue Bottom Left, BRown Bottom Right, taught that at school in the 80's. I have no idea which is live or neutral though
  • I am watching tonight as it was spooks time last night, I shall give you my verdict bearing in mind your thoughts in the morrow... but usually I like James's stuff. A proper bloke not like the other 2 twits
  • it was poor...

What, no how to wrestle a crocodile or how to change a big tractor wheel or how to make a sledge or build your own bike or climb K2 in a day and back, all in time for tea?

    Rubbish.

James May needs a haircut anyway. Those weird shirts he wears make him look like a big girl's blouse.
Life is like a roll of toilet paper; long and useful, but always ends at the wrong moment. Anon.
Think how stupid the average person is.......
half of them are even more stupid than you first thought.
