bottom bracket sizing

I have a GT Aggressor 14" frame and a Shimano Deore M530 Chainset. i need a bottom bracket to suit. the measurment i can find is 68mm would i be okay with a 113mm axle length??

I think that is correct, but to double check have a look at the Tech Docs on Shimano's website.

measured the rear dropout internal length and it measures 137mm
so would a 113mm axle be fine or should i get the next size up???

The rear droput spacing is unrelated to bottom bracket axle size on 135mm frames. You need to get the one that Shimano recommends for a given chainline.
