shimano alivio 9 speed shifters,

anyone know of any reviews on the new alivio 9 speed gears ? was asking about simano deore slx shifters a while back but just found out shimano now do alivio 9 speed.on my old mtb which i now use for commute to work i have the alivio 8 speed which have been brill in the 5 years and 5000 miles of use,where the deore on my weekend mtb need replacing, sloppy shifting. is it worth a punt on the cheaper alivio shifters?

They are very new, not aware of any tests of them as yet. As the new groupset is newer than Deore, they may actually be better in some ways.0

ordered some alivio shifters wednesday from woolly hat shop £29.99.they came this morning and i fit them this afternoon.got to say first impressions are they shift sweet as ,a marked improvement over the deore.will be interesting to see how the whole 9 speed groupset fares in any future test in the mags.could be great kit for the bucks. 0
