I've been looking at getting some shoes and clipless pedals for a while and found this pair for a really good price to get me started http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=53054.

What I'm not sure of though is if they are suitable for Shimano cleats as I am looking at getting some M324's to learn to ride clipless with.

Can anyone advise if these shoes would be compatible? Thanks.

I've been using two pairs of diadora shoes for quite a while. I've got a warm weather set with lots of vents and a warmer pair for winter. I've found them both to be comfy and very well made. For £15 they look like a really good buy to me.

Cheers for this sailorchick, I've managed to find a cheap pair of MTB shoes I can use for the winter, although I'm blaming you for the thermolite socks I didn't really need

    This link suggest they are:

If in any doubt, drop CRC an email.

I think the correct CRC link is http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=53054. No full stop at the end.

If it is these then they are SPD compatible. You can tell by the number of holes on the sole.

  • Cheers for the help, have ordered a pair. Now just to get the pedals and cleats and hope I don't fall off too much.

Plan is to learn on the carrera (hence M324s so I can still pop to the shops in my trainers) as if I fall off I won't care if I scratch it. Then once I'm comfortable with spd's to put them on my specialized.
