7sp to 8sp freehub body

Can I remove a 7sp freehub body and fit an 8sp body (and cassette) in it's place? The bolt size looks the same and the body length seems similar to 8/9sp. The bike in question has 8sp bar end shifters.

    Assuming it's a Shimano freehub, then yes - but what you need depends on model of hub
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    yes but the hub width will be different which may cause issues with the frame.
