nice bike
im looking to get one of these frames but are unsure on what size to get at the moanats
what size is your and how tall are you cheers0 -
Cheers
I'm 6ft2-3 and it's a large.
Technically according to other people and size guides I should be on an xl, but the large just felt better.
Anyone saying the shifters/brakelever hit the top tube on the large (I read it a few times in reviews) are talking bullsh1t!
I'd def recommend trying them for size, they do ride a lot differently that what the geometry suggests. If I hadn't tried 1st I'd have probably got an xl!0 -
i would test ride them but no where around me has them in stock im unsure between a medium and a large and im about 5ft7 i currently ride a large avalanche0

Nice build.
A few of my friends have these and the slacker head angle compared to my Blur makes it a fair bit more confidence inspiring downhill.0 -
It is great downhill... Combo of the rev team and the nice and plush rp2 is something I'm fairly new to, but it's great!
I nearly got a blur, but the deal on the commencal was just too good!0 -
Sweet, fairly similar build to mine albeit a year younger and with a bit more carbon!!!
I thought you were into hardtails?0 -
Nice work! Should have snapped in a couple of weeks ;-)0

Hardtails still tickle my tickly bits. lol. I would like to add one but i'm probably going to become too lazy riding the comfy sofa down the trails! lol!0 -

I wouldn't even think of getting a large, I'm 6ft and ride a large and I've had to put a shorter stem on..I would say a medium would be spot on for you..0 -
Tyres now being changed to Super Tacky Minion on the front and a maxxpro minion on the rear for winter
Also thinking of ditching the saddle... athough its comfy, light and made from carbon.... it squeeks like feck and is doing my head in.
Think I have a saddle sitting around somewhere so it'll do for now while I find a replacement!0 -

lol... technically I didn't really buy this one... I just put money towards it.
Its very nice and all I need at the mo0 -

Apart from a shorter stem that is....0 -

I don't reaaally need one though.. The bars are narrower than I usually have, so the longer stem makes up for it.
However, I would like to try one. Sometime I feel a touch too stretched out on steep climbs.
70mm stem should short that out I think.0 -

don't bother with a 70mm stem, been there done that, i finally settled on a 60mm stem on mine and it's much better to ride now. but i also put a set of 2 step air lyriks on mine so on the uphills put them down to 115mm travel and back up to 160mm on the downs which kind of gives me the best of both worlds....0 -

the gt is a nice size but i compred the gt geo and its closer to the medium than large with the commencals0 -

What can I buy my Meta for xmas?
Would like to go maxle rear but it turns out a bit expensive when you factor in a new wheel + dropouts + skewer!0 -

how about a nice shiny new 203mm front disc....not because you need one, but just because they look big, and bigger is always better..0 -
meh. only need 180mm though!
was thinking about pimpy rotors though... i have cl hubs though so can't use 6 bolt without a conversion which defeats the object0 -
well knowing you like the minions why not treat yourself to one of the new Folding 60a 3C Aramid / EXO front tyres? i think they only come in 2.5 though....0

don't be silly........reverb....0

A mate of mine runs a joplin ,i am very tempted.
TIP
He has covered the Joplin in a spare cut down innertube to stop all the Winter nastiness getting in.0 -
fair enough, cheers for the tip!
I've never seen one in the flesh so i'm kinda excited to give it a go. my xmas present to myself lol.0
