Hi all

What is your opinion of frames made by EAston versus a frame made by (i think Kona make their own now)Kona?

Reason for asking is that i have a Kula Deluxe which has the frame made by Easton but the Deluxe frame i believe is made by Kona themselves (or subcontract it out but sell it under own brand).

How do you all rate easton made/built frames? The easton frame is aluminium but Kona have since moved to scandium (yes lighter & stronger).
Just wondering how the Easton frame stacks up?

Thanks & sorry for the rambling question
Constantly trying to upgrade my parts. It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.

It's Easton tubing, rather than being made by Easton.

It's all marketing blurb frankly. Scandium frames are still aluminium. There's more to it than what a frame's made of. Kona alu/scandium frames are light, but certainly not known for their durability, irrespective of what tubing they've got.
