Hi Folks

I live in Tilgate and have some excellent trails on my door step - but what made me laugh the other day was doing the usual 12 mile loop and always do the last section on the downhill trail and there were kids on BMX bikes with no safey gear just hanging about and trying to go down the runs which were clearly beyond their capabilities and bike! - it also crosses a bridle section and a horse owner passed so I gave them heads up before they got there but these kids were screaming and flying down without giving any respect to the horse owner, the horse was clearly spooking and she had little control and we wonder why horse owners moan at MTB and then the next funny thing was bloke with downhill full sus bike and his mate with no helmets or safety gear either! hamering down the runs, begs believe!! I had to laugh!

Had to share
Paul

    Hey Paul,

I ride in Tilgate too, and don't believe that our paths have crossed.
We usually meet by the huts, next to K2, at 19:00 on a Wednesday evening.
You're welcome to join us, if you want some riding buddies.

    Bob

P.S. I know what you mean about the BMX kids - they really ought to post a lookout at the points where the trails cross bridleways.

If you didn't learn anything today, you weren't paying attention!
