Buying a hardtail

I am looking for a a small hardtail at the moment i have two bikes but i am looking for a allround hardtail just the frame whic would be suitable for cross country and downhill also capable of being jumped any advice would be very helpful.

depends how small. 16" ragley mmmbop are still available at CRC for 150 quid. fits the bill.

I was wanting like a big jump bike frame but a small cross country with low seat tube thanks for the suggestion though
