Depends, there are all sorts of odd sizes made to fit different brake/fork combos. Hope XC4s used to come in 130mm on the rear. You can get some 230mm brakes, and there's a huge number of sizes in between.
Common ones are 140 (rear only), 160, 180 and 203.0 -
cheers for that guys.0

140/160/165/180/183/185/200/203/205/220/225/230.
then you have some odd ones like 170 (some Clarkes)
and the inperial speced ones 6"/7"/8" ( wich equate to some of the mm versions0 -

The ones the others have mentioned are all the sizes but generally for XC to trail work a 180mm rotor at the front and 160mm at the rear works well. Anything more than a 160mm rotor at the back and the wheel will just lock straight away. As most of the braking is done by the front there is a bigger rotor at the front.0

Maybe for you light boys!! But some of us slightly heavier guys need a 180mm on the rear to help slow us down!Timmo.

I'm pretty much identical by the sounds of it, and I run a 203 at the front, mainly cause I CBA to change itAnd now you know, and knowing is half the battle
