Middlesborough and surrounding areas
Hello,
I've been given a Bunjee freebie in Middlesborough. Since close to 4hours away, thought I'd make a weekend of it and ride as well.
Coming up the A1 from Hertfordshire: any recommendations for a riding spot? I ride allsorts but would like some mean single track or DH.
Thanks!
Clint.

Have a look here, they do a lot of rides in that area and have a lot of route knowledge:

Had a ride round Guisborough Woods and surronding area today, trails are looking good and are very fast despite the recent poor weather.

Sometimes do, sometimes don't.
Just depends on whether I think the dog walking brigades are going to be up and out along there. I'd rather blast it down the road than be dodging dog leads.0 -
I would recommend a ride from Gribdale into Guisbrough Woods & back it's only short but is really good mix of Singletrack, Moors & some technical stuff.
If you want to do an epic there are plenty starting from Carlton Bank or Black Hambleton. You could also ride to Dalby or to Whitby if you really want to push yourself.
NY Moors is not really singletrack country IMHO.
