So will this only be for people who think they have a hand built, Italian thoroughbred rather than some other brand of generic mass produced far east junk?0

I shall cycle past the cafe on my American litespeed and sneer at the wannabees within. With disdain, I might add.
Or I might just pop in and have a nice latte.0 -
LOL I will have to pop in for a cuppa... not that I like Tea or Coffee but whats got to be done has to be done hey!0

Nah, that fad was started by Simon O'Brien back in (casts mind back) about 1990(ish). A bike shop, cafe (all furniture made from recycled bicycle parts) and on site bike storage and showers in one building. It was way ahead of its time and sadly closed before the fashionistas of London were but a twinkle in his eye

I remeber the Liverpool Cycle Centre (I think it was called), Hope adapted some of their hub bodies into salt and pepper pots but they had to chain them to the tabels to stop them being nicked.0 -
Yep, remember the salt shakers well at the LCC!0

I have been working in Stockholm for the last 5 days and visited the Bianchi CafeBar!
It's part Bianchi dealership & part Cafe located at the junction of Norrlandsgatan & Lästmakargatan closest underground station Östermalmstorg T-bana.
It a really nice place ( I had a business meeting there) good food on offer, great tea & coffee and some unusual Hot Chocoloate PLUS all those gorgeous bikes just hung up like the works of art they undoubtedly are, lots of people looking and €10k apparently does not put off the Swedish buyer!
Behind the cafe front is a complete Bianchi store. They are aiming to be a ride headstop and according to the guy working there they are already attracting quite a crowd on weekend mornings before people head off for a ride and its still very cold there at the moment! Apparently they are planning 50 of these worldwide and as you will already know one is due to come to London soon, I cant wait its a great idea!0 -

I went there and found it full of people some just having a good meal, some just browsing and some who have never been that close to a nice bike before just staring open mouthed, can only be a good thing IMHO I have to say I would love one but I aint up to doing one justice just yet! 54yrs 98kilos but falling!0
