What colour grips?

OK, a pathetic thing to have to choose. But, this is arriving on Monday hopefully:



So, superstar grips, colours:

Red Ends, Black Grips
Black Ends, Red Grips
Red Ends, White Grips
Black Ends, White Grips
White Ends, Black Grips

Bike will be blinged with red hope parts eventually

Why change unless you've tried the grips already and don't like them?

CWNT, its just the start of blinging for the sake of blinging. I like shiny stuff, and the bike will be totally colour co-ordinated eventually. I might buy some Jagwire red gear cables strait away and put them on before i ride it just because it will look good.

I find black bikes a bit dull, so eventually it will have more white on it, and lots more red. Red Hope seat clamp, red QR on the wheels, eventually red hope hubs. I'm even thinking of changing out the brakes strait away for white ones.

So hence the grip colour question. I believe they are black grips with red ends as standard, if it looks good I'll keep it that way, or if not, its an excuse to buy something else

Would be tempting to replace the suspension arm in white when the bearings wear out.

+1. I had write grips for about an hour... they're now brown.

Black grips, red ends. Anything other than black will look crap after a few rides.

I'd suggest sticking with the black and red ones that come with the bike for a few rides and seeing if you get along with them.

If you don't then I'd suggest just a straight swap for black grips with red lockrings.

From a purely tarty point of view, I'd also look at red KCNC jockey wheels, red chainring bolts, a red seatclamp, possibly some red skewers, translucent red crankskins. *maybe* even panaracer Fire XC pro with red sidewalls. Then leave it at that or it runs the risk of becoming a bit of a dogs dinner.

I feel like the Laurence llewelyn bowen of the MTB world, only less ghey and without the stupid shirts!

Was just eyeing up some Jagwire hyflow red cables for the brakes, but replacing brake lines is a little daunting for me!

KCNC jockey wheels will be on order i think as soon as a receive the bike I think, small bits of red like that really finish the bike off.

Nice machine, Stick with the Black with red rings thats on it for now, we have the same grips and they look and perform great, just need some nice hope bar ends...
