Road Bike Brake Blocks- advice please

Hi , Ive got ultegra brakes with Shimano standard blocks- either im too fat or they dont seem that effective , are there any demon upgrades available please? panic . Exmoor beast on Sunday coming . thanks in advance.

    There have been loads of topics on this recently. Basically koolstop (salmon I think?) or (for a bit more money) Swissstop green pads should sort you out nicely.

    Changing the callipers won't make much difference, chaning brake blocks will :)

    Tony, if you cannot get some replacements in time then PM me. I have a couple of spare sets of the Koolstop salmons (it's a long story) and could let you have a set FOC. Meet up at registration on saturday if that helps. All the best on Sunday in any case, weather looks a bit better than it did.

    well its my first training ride of the winter and i thought it would be a good try out ,Im going to start lst and finish last .
