This trip is carefully timed to coincide with the opening of the major cols in the area. The winter snows will have just been cleared and you'll have a chance to be among the first riders of the year to scale the summits. Breathtaking scenery and snowdrift lined routes await you for 4 days of high altitude riding.
Wednesday
Arrive Geneva Airport between 17.00 and 20.00, we'll pick you up and take you to our chalet base near Courchevel. A hearty dinner will await you along with a quick briefing of the forthcoming days' events.

Thursday to Saturday
Our main targets will be the Col du Petit St Bernard, Cormet de Roselend and the Col de la Madeleine. We'll incorporate these cols into some beautiful circuits with some hearty lunch stops.

Sunday
For our final ride we are spoilt for choice, perhaps the Col des Saisies or the Courchevel climb might take your fancy. We'll head back to the chalet mid afternoon so we can get you back to Geneva to catch flights from 19.30 onwards.

The schedule

Sunday 17th July

We'll pick you up and drive you to Chalet Nicola in Le Praz where you can relax, set your bike up and get ready for dinner. A quick briefing of what the next day holds for us and off to bed.

Monday 18th July

We'll head to the Col de Petit St Bernard today, a long climb but not steep, should ease us in to the week nicely. A lunch in Italy will be our reward, before returning into France. Approx 100km with 2300m climbing.

Tuesday 19th July

Circuit of the Cormet de Roselend, a spectacular ride through the Beaufortain area. Approx 90km with 1600m climbing

Wednesday 20th July

Today is all about getting up and over the mighty Col d'Iseran, a 50km climb! ( with a few flat bits) culminating at 2770m altitude. A fantastic descent takes down into the Maurienne Valley and on to our overnight stop in Modane. 95Km and 2000m climbing.

Thursday 21st July

We are a day ahead of the pros, Stage 19 of the Tour de France lies before us, Modane to Alpe D'Huez. 109Km and some serious climbing of the Telegraph, Galibier followed by the Alpe. Well over 3000m climbing if you do the lot.

Our base for the next 2 nights will be in in Les Deux Alpes.

Friday 22nd July

A chance to conquer Alpe D'Huez for those that might not have managed it the day before. Lots of other ride options too. Today will be all about riding as much or as little as you wish and getting a good vantage point to see the pros come through in the afternoon.

Saturday 23rd July

e drive towards Grenoble, a beautiful ride around Chamrousse before settling down to watch the Race of Truth, stage 20, the time trial. An exciting finale to the Tour. Drive back to base camp in Le Praz

Sunday 24th July

Transfers back to Geneva airport with a view to getting flights between 1300 and 1700.

Any thoughts?

Used to live in Courchevel and have cycled a fair bit with Dave (v. nice guy and an awesome climber!!). His winter business is Skivolution and is a big chalet operator in Le Praz. so would imagine he is more than capable of organising decent cycling holidays.

Very nice cycling in that neck of the woods - the col de madelaine goes on and on and on and on so get training to make the most of your time!!
