Looking for a new bike £750 max

Hi, I'm looking for a new bike with a max budget £750, MTB hardtail.
For XC and trail, any recommendations?

    look at the gt aggresor range at halfords, or the boardman ht range at halfords. also the rockrider 8.1/8.2 at decathlon or a kona kula.
    all decent bikes, just try one first and make sure you get the right size.

    I would second the Boardman HT range- excellent bikes, good price

    You could also get a Merlin Malt 4 from their website for £750 (usually £1000) at the moment. It was the top rated hardtail in MBUK test last month. Only problem is you cannot try it for size before you buy. I got a Malt 1 last year- I wasn't sure about the size so I rang them up and a friendly guy advised me based on my height and inside leg.

    Malt 1 and Malt 2 are even cheaper.

    Rockrider 9.1. FS from decathlon, decent bike for £750. Just make them set it up right for you.

    Second the Merlin Option.

    I got a specked up Malt 1 for that money and love it.

    There service is awesome. :D
