Thinking of replacing the manitu rear shock on my Cube AMS 100 with a fox float. Ive blinged it up quite a bit from standard with elixers etc so this is the next thing on my list but has anyone on here done similar? Im happy to make the swap for blings sake but Ive never had any problem with the manitu so will I really notice any difference or can I expect an all new plush feel?

Possibly, hard to say! A tuned shock from Fox may give better performance.

Am I missing something? Apart from doing it for the sake of it why bother spending money if you've never had a problem and are happy with the existing shock?!

I love bnling as much as the next man but I don't see the point.

Doubt very much you'd notice much unless you're a seasoned bike tester with endless knowledge of suspension ramps etc.

Replace it when it's broke, after all there's a fair chance that the shock on your bike will be tuned to that frame regarding compression and unless the same tune is available in teh Fox you might feck things up totally
  • Yeah, doubtful you'll genuinely feel much difference day to day man.. get some fluffy dice instead 8)

Why not fit a Fox sticker to your current shock? All the kidz will think you've 'blinged it up' but it won't have cost you! Be well rad like.

I bought some fat alberts instead to replace the racing ralph and nobby nic. Ive wanted to get rid of the ralph for ages. No where near nobbly enough for black / red runs imho. Had to run them really low pressure for ages to get any grip hence having loooooads of punctures
