Avid standard pad type

I haven't yet replaced the pads my brakes came with, theyre Avid Elixir brakes and im just wondering what the type of pad they come with is. Originally i thought they were organic but after 3 months of use, 1 month of that through constant thick gritty mud, and some admittedly substandard washes, theyre still about 3/4 of the thickness they were when they came. They also make a horrible racket when wet.

Are they likely to be sintered pads?

Ah, theyre the stupid elixir 4, with juicy caliper, never crossed my mind.

then it depends on what the OE speced for the ones you have.

Ah ok, im guessing theyre sintered by the noise they make when wet but thanks for the replies.
