What's the deal with people who are too impatient whilst out on the trails, you know the sort, they have to force their way past when somebody slower is in front. That`s fair enough if they are faster but its the way they go about it, they don`t say "on your left" and then come past, they just force their way by..

I don`t usually have a problem myself but some of my mates are slower than me. There was a guy a couple of wkends ago at Llandegla who was in a rush to come past. There were loads of ppl in front of us on a tight, narrow climb. He decided it would be best to go off the trail and make his own route but managed to fall off, how we laughed..

Very annoying when you get people like that on the trails.

    Also happens on the road...
I had to laugh at a guy in as flashy Merc the other day. He had been trying to get up close and personal with my cars bumber for ages and at the lights where there are 2 lanes he went in the lane alongside me but then stalled when the lights went green.

  • however annoying they are, thankfully they are in the minority
  • I'm normally quite lucky that my trails are not too packed, and everyone who rides them are good chaps. Been riding there months, and not one single person has been a cok in any way, everyone is quite the opposite. Will stop to let you pass if you look like your doing well, very friendly hellos, and always extremely courteous if they come up behind you.

    Good ole Austria.

Was at Glentress firing at, what I thought, was fair lick down Magic Mushroom when my pal who was strangely quick was right on my back wheel. So I was shouting and swearing at him telling him to f**k off for a good minute before I realised it wasn't him but was someone on a full suss Lapierre, I let him pass.....he flew round one of the bermed north shore bits and went face first into a tree. I stopped to check he was ok, we were both a little embarrased.

He must have the only manual Mercedes in the UK.

Well it's always the other way round for me :p

People not moving out the way after a few minutes of following, and shouts of can i come by plwease :p

But it swings all ways, I admit i have tired that once or twice when i got bored of wating on a fun section but normally i just stop when i get the pest who wont move, and wait so i can race after them again.

A couple of weekends ago it was the Firefighter's charity race. This didn't happen on a Sunday, mid-morning/early afternoon?

I thought "on your right" etc. was roadie speak anyway which might be why MTBers don't respond to it

    Ditto here, especially at Llandegla.

Now now girls, why not ring your bells

Just wait for a safe place to pass if you are held up and do your best to let a faster guy through when you can. The trail/track is there for everyone so don't behave like AH's - save it for the drive home

Be nice to all cyclists - you may want to borrow a pump one day :-)
