Useless! I went in to change my address 4 weeks ago, filled in the form, signed it, cashier checked it, jobs a good un. Not. 2 weeks ago get a call asking me to ring them. After 20 mins of farting about on the phone, and having to set up telephone banking, I get through to an op who tells me my signature doesn't match. But you checked it in the branch?! Anyway sorted it...
Not. Tried to buy some goods online yesterday, phonecall today from shop - card rejected. The shop had phoned the bank, yes, you guessed it, card did not match address. I phoned bank, they had not taken old address off, still on as a 'correspondance' address. She said if I wanted the transaction to go through she could CHANGE my address back to the old one so it would work!!! I ranted a bit, got them to remove it. WTF? Honestly.
Now waiting to see if my goods got ordered after ringing the shop...

Errrr it's the 21st century. Only time I ever go into a bank is to deposit a cheque. Everything else is done on line.
No queues, no idiots, no hassles, and you can even up your overdraft limit if you see a tasty bike.
(Also HSBC by the way)I don't do smileys.

Plan is to strip it for parts for my Ruckus, and sell frame, wheels and forks.0 -
I had to change my address when I moved here with HSBC.
Doing it online took roughly 10 seconds, with instant effect.0 -
I shall do that in the future... but as I was in the bank at the time, I thought I might as well have done it there and then...0
-
If you'v already got a shock for the ruckas.... why not get a HT to strpip for parts... could have got a fury, or even better for that much.... :?I like bikes and stuff0

Because I plan to makle a profit too. See if you can find a better deal for 400 ;-)0

By the way, no promises, but you may wish to let me know what size of frame you're planning to order.0

I am needing to get me a bank account but my choice is based purely on which bank gives you best discounts on stuff. We do have HSBC and Santander but also have a Lloyds TSB... how random is that?Formally known as Coatbridgeguy0

I bank with First Direct, (HSBC spin off) they are brilliantI'm not old I'm Retro0

Jeezus wept. They put the transaction through today, and card declined. Rang bank up, fraud marker placed on account. Turns out they had misread my postcode for new address, a Z for a C... He then released card, and now two transactions have gone through! Though Paul's say that they havent. Better check then eh?!0

Fraud marker is because you've got shifty eyes.I don't do smileys.

ps If you get two bikes I'll take on off your hands. Obviously as it would now be second hand, I think £200 would be fair.I don't do smileys.
