Im looking for a new road bike with a carbon frame and fork and a decent groupset.
Bikes which interest me at the moment are:

Focus cayo 2.0:http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Focus_Cayo_20_Ultegra_Compact_2011/5360054508/

Boardman pro carbon:http://www.boardmanbikes.com/road/road_pro_carbon.html it is supposed to get a €200 discount around christmas time, but i might wait until the 2011 version comes out.

i was looking to buy top branded bike like trek, specialized, scott, bmc
but there not as good value for money....
can anyone come up with anymore suggestions?

I'll be nice 'cos it's your firts post, but you really ought to try a bit harder yourself first

At least tell people what you going do with it and a bit about yoruself, otherwise there's a long list at the back of CW.

Before the Boardman brigade get in, the Cayo looks the better bike. Wiggle also use to do 7 or 30 day test rides. Halfords may let you ride a Boardman around the shop floor. Also look at the Canyon bikes if you want carbon.

Jesus you need a bit more imagine with £2k in your pocket ! - Google these

    Orbea Orca

    Wilier Iozard

    Kuota Kharma \ Kebel

    Colnago CLX

Pinarello FP2 - or maybe higher

Without wishing to Offend anyone, Boardman, Focus are brilliant £1k bikes - but for £2k you should be getting a bit of panache as well

    Go Google young man ......

And quite how does a 16 year old have £2k to spend on a bike.
  • The Boardman Brigade hmm....

It sounds like someone has a huge chip on his/her shoulder.

Try the Cayo and the Boardman and choose for yourself which one you prefer they are both good bikes

There is no need to run down/bad mouth, the one you do not prefer, the way some of the childish brand snobs on this forum do
