What's the best piece of kit you've bought that's made the biggest difference but did not cost much?

For me...it has to be the insulated and waterproof overshoes i've had for a couple of seasons...they've transformed the cold winter rides!

Thermal headband. Keeps my ears warm in all weathers but lets me keep my head uncovered to keep me from overheating.

    About £12 I think. :D

Swapping from lycra shorts under bib tights to decent undershorts made with a wicking fabric - cold nuts in winter have been banished!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Jagwire Racer brake/shifter cable and housing sets. As good or better than Dura-Ace or Campag cables at half the price and include those nice little rubber protector thingys.
