Women's Running Shoe?

Even tho' this is a MTB forum, I will recommend Asics or New Balance.
Bearing mind I don't have your girlfriends feet, so may not suit her, but myself and other people I know who wear them, swear by them. I also wear a pair of Asics for MTB'ing.0 -
To be honest the best thing to do is go to a decent running shop and ask for help (and I dont mean JJB sport etc)
They should be able to do a visual gait analysis and advise on the best shoes for her, and her level of activity.
Bad running shoes cause hellish issues, and the best way is to get professional help!
I have Asics and like them but others hate them! depends on whether she pronates, supranates of has a neutral foot fall!
Good luck!Wheeze..... Gasp..... Ruddy hills.......0 -

Go and see these guys (I see you're based on the IOW but they have shops all over the south coast)
They are brilliant - they fitted my running shoes and I didn't get any blisters or rubbing at all dispite a heavy training schedule! In fact I completed the BUPA Great South Run on Sunday in 1 hour 27 mins and STILL had perfectly comfy feet!!!
They will look at your girlfriends running style etc and will suggest the best shoes to suit. I thought this would invariably mean the most expensive shoes, but I too had a figure of £100 in mind and the best shoes for me were only £60 8)
Good luck - I can't recommend them enough!Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away....
Riding a gorgeous ano orange Turner Burner!

go to a running shop and get her fitted properly. One where they do gait analysis. they'll tell what type of runner she is (neutral, pronater ect) and then a good shop will let you try on every shoe they have for that type of runner. You'll be in there for quite a while.
Lots say they like Asics, i personally can't stand them. The plastic swoosh bit which is completely unstretchy hits at the widest part of my foot and pinches, there's nothing wrong with them as such, but they're just not right for me which is why you have to try them on, run in them, and wear them round the house for a few hours.
I'm currently using mizuno wave 6 trainers, which i have been using for a couple of years, they're ultralight and to me barely feel like i'm wearing any trainers at all they're that light. I've also had good experience with New Balance.0
