Can anyone tell me whether we get stung for large amounts of duty ordering kit from NZ?

Same to the States. 3 orders and no duty. I'm guessing they ensure that you don't get charged. Considering the distance, delivery has been speedy. Very good kit, good customer service, and good price.

Only ordered from them once, but there were no extra charges as I recall.
  • There *was* an issue with this a few years ago (speaking from personal painful experience!) but IIRC they have sorted their pricing so that you don't get stung any more.
  • I am reassured to hear this, but I had a bad experience last year when ordering some mitts from the States, and ended up paying customs and "handling charge" which amounted to a significant proportion of the original costs.
  • yup, I ended up paying about 60% of the costs from GE in import duty, tax on the import duty, and dubious handling charges too. crazy.
