I am looking at the CX-1 Evo as a possible for my next bike. I want to buy a complete bike as I don't really have the time or desire to build from scratch. So the question is, does anyone know if the CX-1 Evo will be released as a complete build?

I'm aware the 2011 CX-1 Evo frameset is available to buy. At the cycle show they had the CX-1 Evo as a SRAM Force build. I'm not sure if it was a version they were releasing or saying "this is what you could do for the money". I realise it was a schoolboy not to ask at the time.

Help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Just go and see your friendly colnago shop. They'll build it how ever you want.

It seems the 'off the shelf' version is Ultegra

but I'd go and speak to a bike shop and tell them exactly what you want. Otherwise you'll end up spending more 'upgrading' this and that to get the bike you really wanted in the first place.

Other than the Ace and CLX and a couple of lower spec aluminium bikes Colnago don't sell full bikes based on the more expensive frames, what you see on their web site is for illustration purposes only.
You need to go to a shop or website that sells Colnago and they will build anything you want, money will be the only limiting factor.
Sigma Sport have a good "bike builder" on their site and the prices aren't too bad either.http://www.sigmasport.co.uk/app/web/bikebuilder.aspx

the 'Ultegra' is actually SRAM Red when you click on the specification but the description describes Shimano Ultegra :?

Cheers for the replies. I was equally as confused by the Colnago website. I knew they only sold it as a frameset last year but thought they might be offering it as a complete bike as some of the pictures from Eurobike etc as well as the Cycle Show had the same Force build with Mavic wheels.

On a purely asthetic note, I liked the Colnago branded components from FSA on the demo bike at the show, but that is obviously is not a dealbreaker. I think I'll be going down the route you have suggested.

    Thanks
