Former Olympic rowing champion Andy Holmes, who won gold medals with Steve Redgrave at the 1984 and 1988 Games, died aged 51. Such a shame, so young too.
The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.

    A great athlete, I was lucky enough to see Redgrave and Holmes race at Henley and the power they created by was just awesome.
    We don't have many double Olympic gold medalists and when added to all the World Champs medals they also won he certainly never really got the attention he deserved.
    A sad loss and thoughts to his family.
