even though i have posted a few here before, and as a newbie, actually what is BB30? is it crank or bottom bracket? or a type of bottom bracket. really appreciate the info lads?

    I was only asking the question to a cycling buddy the other day and now that qeastion has been answered, thanks softlad.

    My next question, to hijack this post, is this. I have a Boardman Team Carbon which has a hollow crank, so would this be better improved by fitting a BB30, if possible? Is there any benefit to doing so?

    unless you have a BB30 compatible frame, fitting a BB30 chainset is not an option.
