    And the leason to be learned is:

    Leaving your bike unlocked with the QR loose in the hope that the thieving chav who stole it will knock himself out has no effect!

  • Ouch, that had to hurt.. just a little..

    Last year we were riding up Reading Copse way and my mate had a loose rear skewer on his Giant Trance. He only realised it was loose when he slammed on the rear brake and felt the back wheel get all out of shape. Fortunately he noticed this before embarking on any ambitious riding. It's easily done, especially when people have to remove / refit wheels to get bikes into the back of cars
