Get the latest Magicshine MJ-836 for the front, low beam will be enough for commuting and the battery pack not only lasts for ages but has a charge indicator.
I'd also add a small head torch if you're on unlit streets, makes life easier.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.

Get a hope and some decent batteries, you don't want to be faffing with the magicshines when you're commuting, they're really good lights the magicshines, but the reliability isn't great.
Then something like the rsp double 1/2watt on the rear.0 -
Thats why I asked about use. Not sure if its rechargable but the hope LED 1 sprang to mind.
A back light is more to be seen with, I have just get a cateye one for about £25, but there are loads of them.0 -
The vision 1 uses 4 AA batteries, but you can use rechargeable ones.
Don't buy a cateye, they're fairly rubbish generally. I'd recommend a decent light based on a 1/2watt led. Many manufacturers make them and they're all pretty similar and great (other than the rsp mentioned above which is brilliant!0 -
Vision 1 is bloody expensive though for the output. I'd just get a XPG torch with mount. Quarter the price, more output, still plenty of runtime.0
