It's getting quite hard to convince Mrs C that I need to buy Lego. It's much easier to buy a newspaper* and then act all surprised when there's a voucher for free Lego inside...

*Newspaper is used in the vaguest sense here.

I bought some lego the other day and made a little car, it's awesome!

I'm genuinely going to be asking for some for christmas.

Lego has gone seriously down hill since they started making so many specialised parts. I used to love the original lego, and then the technical lego, but modern lego sets come in about 4 pieces and take about 30 seconds to build - waste of time and money.

    ...and bring back hanging.

Ah, can't agree. My lads got a few of those Star Wars ones....they are brilliant.

...and never mind hanging let's have the guillotine

My brother got me a lego motorbike for my birthday and it was really really hard. Then I knocked it off the shelf and it came to bits and I don't have the willpower to rebuild it. So in conclusion either you are wrong, or I'm some sort of retard.

  • Just ordered 2 huge tubs of lego "for the kids" for christmas.

Now all I need to do is convince the wife that my 3yr old really wants some Formula "the one" brakes for her balance bike and we're sorted

I had that car. My favourite set though was this:

I only recently threw all my lego away in a fit of rage when I was trying to tidy up. I may have to buy some more.
