Chainsets

I'm in need of a new chainset to replace my Suntour CW-XCT, i was thinking a Shimano XT M770 Hollowtech II Triple Chainset however i'm not keen on buying it until i know for sure whether it's compatible or not. Anyone care to shed some light on how i go about checking compatability!? Thanks
