out of boredom / desperation / curiosity and general reading around about folk using 'fringe' products i've bought motorcycle dry chain lube in an aerosol spray can, it's clear dry, no mess stuff and gets constant positive reviews. I bought a small can and the chain is nearing the end of it's life. experiment time.
after reading (elsewhere) someone uses putoline motorcycle solid chain wax you melt and claimed good results, i figured, WTF not. will report back here with results in due course.
