Simple question; anyone used one, does it work - i.e keep you warm even when wet? Ta!

I wore mine last winter, very, very good. More often than not I needed to open the venting zips to cool off. When wet (I had no direct experience of this) it is supposed to be effective. I have not been dissappointed with mine and can recommend. Have a look at this web site - http://www.buffalosystems.co.uk/buymain.htm0

yes, they are awesome. Dry real quick after it stops as well. You could be too hot, not too cold, as long as you stay active.0

i've got a special 6 shirt for hiking/mountains, it's the same construction as the cycle shirt
very hard wearing, lightweight
it really does help stay warm when wet (if you fall in water, then get out, you'll be cold until your body heat warms the residual water in the pile lining, after that it's ok - you can speed things out by squishing as much water out of it as you can, but it drains fairly fast anyway, the pile doesn't collapse when wet)
you need to wear it next to the skin for this to work, if you've got other fabrics underneath they will probably spoil the effect
in this country it's too warm once i get going, walking in -6 i have to open the vents
so if you want to stay warm, it's a fine choicemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
I went for one of these and wasn't disappointed - working reasonably hard today I was roasting before opening the vents, and it's been hovering around 3oC and foggy most of the day - highly recommended for real cold rides
When I did stop, it was a bit disconcerting to stand there billowing clouds of steam, an old biddy passing in her car slowed down, think she was about to call the fire brigade!2011 Bianchi D2 Cavaria in celeste (of course!)
