I am trying to upload an image from flickr using the following format but I am obviously doing something wrong because all I get is the web location.
i have tried both with and without the img bit as follows.
can anyone help?

On flikr, choose the 640 file size to view, then right click, properties, copy image tag, paste in here with the img tags.live long, eat biscuit0 -

What you have done in your first post should have worked. I think the problem is with this forum– that it doesn't know how to parse secondary glyphs (like @, é, ? etc) when they're between tags. You need to find some other way of expressing the url, via a mirror like a url-shortening service, or some such.
It's a bit annoying, especially with wikipedia pages which often use full, complex names in their url's, and consequently break the forum. Mods– am I missing something?0 -
