What TV Channel to see any mountain biking?

The channels I currently have dont have any mountain biking on at all, no cross country, no world cup, no downhilling or anything.

Is there any one channel (Id assum one of the lesser known sky sports) that does good coverage of anything?

TIA

eurosport have said they're going to commit more coverage to downhill next year. but if you go to freecaster.com they show all the world cup etc live
  • I often have a browse around and cant find anything .. I always look!! :(
  • You get the odd bit of mountain biking on Eurosport on Sky and they have some on the Extreme sports channel but that's pretty rare as well :(

extreme channel used to be tip top, drop in was always on as a constant source of inspiration.
but now it just show feckin bull riding, mantracker and constant repeats of rob dyrdeck's fantasy factory. its rubbish.

There's more on the Extreme channel in summer (or at least was when I had sky 2-3 years ago) it tends to switch to snowboarding in winter. It only used to amount to old re-runs of Drop-in TV anyway.

As above the WC's are on Eurosport, the coverage is all over the place and only shows the last hour of it. The coverage on Freecaster is better anyway, same visuals with the added bonus of Rob Warner!

I know its sky only and I only watch it when I'm at mates but Rush HD (yes HD only) do cover some bmx/mtb stuff. More documentaries than competitions but all quite good.

I don't know what the hell's going on, but I certainly don't get any MTB on eurosport.
I was watching a race live on freecaster, and people told me it was also live on Eurosport. I checked, it wasn't
  • Yeah skysports at times do a sort of 'highlights' programe but it doesnt evr let me put it on series link so its prob not on alot! last 1 i saw was mens and womens highlights off 4X and Downhill, on for 30mins and that was that!

Sounds like a trick is being missed somewhere. MTB is possibly one of the fastest growing sports / hobbies and theres no coverage for when you cant get out and do it.

It's been one of the "fastest growing sports" for years and years though. And it's still tiny.

Rush HD is about the best you'll find on Sky for MTB, and even then there's very little. Mostly Motocross and BMX.
  • occaisionaly the "Adventure Show" on the good old Beeb (not sure if its Scotland only??)

One day maybe Sky will implement what Tivo had 10 years ago and allow you to auto record by keywords and other searches. Ah well. Shame I had to go with Sky to get decent HD.

Hell yes. If we could get proper sky receiver cards for Media Centre, I'd be a much happier man.
