Any recommendations for a highly visible top or jacket that has less of the plastic bag effect?

The NightVision is great for a 40 minute commute but a real sweat trap for a 2 hour ride.

Thanks

Are you talking about the Nightvision waterproof or the Nightvision windproof?
    More problems but still living....
  • How about a breathable jacket and some lights?

Do you wear a rucksack? If so, respro hump and whatever jacket then is a good one.

I have NightVision waterproof - definitely no rucksack!

Try the Nightvision windproof then. I used mine through last winter and its just about cold enough for it again.

If you're riding hard though you might be better with l/s baselayer + armwarmers + gilet. There's a Nighvision gilet, but I don't have one.

This is a very good point. It hardly ever rains hard enough to warrant a full waterproof jacket and no other manufacturer (that I've found) makes a jacket as visible as this one.

  • Just get a breathable jacket n a high viz waistcoat for £4.50 from screwfix. More visible with more 360 reflective bands than nightvision. Can wear it with jersey if not raining.
